As we grapple with pollution induced climate change, it is even more important now (than it ever was in the past) for us to celebrate our planet's diversity.
The following poem by my daughter is a small reminder to us about how nature did feebly make a comeback during lockdown.
Birds and bees, flora and fauna
Have been a revelation in times of Corona
And as we all grapple with this long lockdown
We’re watching God’s creatures walk right into town
Monkeys and leopards, sparrows and deer
Have been gracing our cities with nothing to fear
This biodiversity is core to our health
And will serve us much better than Plutus’ wealth
And just when you wonder “Oh will she get done?”
I ask for permission to go on a run
